New treatment may cure migraines

SCENAR offers non-invasive alternative

It is estimated that 50 million Americans suffer from chronic migraine headaches. Women are more prone to migraines, which is attributed to their hormonal cycle and may even be aggravated by birth control pills. For men and women, stress, lack of sleep and even skipping meals can trigger a migraine.

Psychologically, migraines can also develop as a response to repression of emotions such as anger, frustration or rage. When these emotions are internalized, they may ultimately manifest as migraine headaches.

Migraines can develop from repressed emotions such as anger or frustration.

Conventional treatments include pain medications; beta-blockers such as propranolol; cafergots; ACE-Inhibitor; ARB (angiotensin receptor blockers); and tryptans. However, there is much evidence confirming that migraine headaches are also the result of exposure to toxins and also food allergies. For example, chocolate and cheese have a high concentration of a substance called amines that trigger a migraine. Other foods such as avocados, beans, pineapple, peas, lentils, MSG, pork, shrimp, pickled herring, alcohol, (specifically the brewer’s yeast in alcohol), nitrites used as preservatives and caffeine have been linked to migraine headaches.

Taking a simple blood test to test for food allergies would identify the culprits. Eliminating those foods from the diet is a natural cure for migraines. One example of this is a patient who has tested positive for shrimp and eggs – once these foods were eliminated from that person’s diet, the migraines stopped completely.

Another cause for migraine headaches is when the base bone of the skull is slightly tilted, called subluxation. As a result, the person’s posture appears slightly crooked upon close examination. The shoulders and hips are lower on one side, and many people are told that one leg is shorter than the other.

Other indications are one eye is smaller and one cheek is sunken in. TMJ is also linked to subluxation. A simple procedure with a biofeedback modulator called the SCENAR is able to correct this subluxation. The posture and all the effects of the subluxation are corrected with SCENAR. Migraine headaches and TMJ are also remedied with this adjustment. A local doctor suffered from migraine headaches for over 40 years and carried his migraine medication in his pocket at all times. Since his treatment with the SCENAR, he hasn’t had a migraine for over two years.
